Clinics / Master Classes


Clinics and Master Classes are designed and created to fit your student’s/event’s needs. Contact me for pricing  and scheduling. Past events include:

Accessory Percussion Techniques Master Class: I talk about, demonstrate, and use students to demonstrate techniques on percussion accessories – Cr. Cym, Sus. Cym., BD, Tambourine, Triangle. (This usually takes 2.5 hours but can be compressed to 1 hour.) 

Marimba Technique Master Class: This is where I talk about tech., concepts, and work with students as I demonstrate and improve their technique. (This usually takes 2.5 hours but can be compressed to 1 hour.) 

Marimba Performance Master Class: This is where I critique your students playing in a master class format. (This can last as long as we want - depending on how many students want to perform.) 

SD Technique and Performance Master Class: This is where I talk about SD technique and timbre concepts & have your students play in a master class setting. (This can last 1 to 2.5 hours, depending on how many students participate in the MC). 

Practice Techniques on Marimba and SD Master Class: I talk about practice techniques and use students for demonstrations. These practice concepts can be applied to all instruments. 

Timpani Master Class: I talk about timpani technique and timbre concepts & have your students play in a master class setting. (This can last 1 to 2.5 hours, depending on how many students participate in the MC). 

Perc. Excerpts Master Class: If you have any students getting near an audition. 

Performance/Audition Preparation: I discuss preparation concepts for performances and auditions. (This can take 15 – 30 minutes and be added to any MC/clinic).
